Hy is gediagnoseer met regter long infeksie.<\/p>\n<p>Ek self het Maandag 16 September &#8216;n karpaale tonnel operasie ondergaan in Greenacres hospitaal. \u00a0Andr\u00e9 was op sterk antibiotika en het goed reageer en die virus telling het mooi afgekom en sy nefroloog het hom die 20 September 2024 ontslaan.<\/p>\n<p>Sy lippe was vol koorsblare en sy tong en verhemelte was vol snye en swere en hy het &#8216;n swak eetlus gehad. Hy het moeilik geloop en sy voete en bene was baie geswel.<\/p>\n<p>Die volgende dag, 21 Setember 2024 het ek my dokter,\u00a0 Dr Janita Saayman gekontak en sy situasie aan haar verduidelik.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Janita het onmiddelik re\u00eblings getref en Andr\u00e9 is opgeneem in SOMERSET EAST CARE &amp; CURE UNIT (Step Down Facility) hier in Somerset Oos.<\/p>\n<p>Ons het geen magtiging gehad vir opname vanaf ons mediese fonds nie.\u00a0 Sy net ges\u00ea hulle sal dit die Maandag uitsorteer.\u00a0 Sy het gere\u00ebl vir twee versorgers wat na Andr\u00e9 omgesien het vanaf 07H00 tot 19H00 en twee versorgers vanaf 19H00 tot 07H00 die volgende dag.\u00a0 Daardie versorgers was wonderlik.\u00a0 Hulle het Andr\u00e9 gesmeer, gedraai, gewas en entjies laat loop. Niks was vir hulle te veel nie.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Janita het twee keerper dag kom kyk dat alles reg is.\u00a0 Sy het nie gehuiwer om Andr\u00e9 \u2018n drip op te sit en hom gemaklik te hou nie. En boonop ken sy nie sy mediese mediese geskiedenis nie. Sy ken vir Andr\u00e9 as persoon , en weet van sy nieroorplanting 5 jaar gelede. Hy was ook op stuurstof en nebulizer vir longe.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Janita se Care &amp; Cure unit was so skoon.\u00a0 Die badkamer het my verras.\u00a0 Die stort vir persone wat in rystoel is het my so beindruk.\u00a0 Alles is daar wat jy benodig.\u00a0 Almal wat deel is van die Care &amp; Cure unit so dierbaar en behulpsaam.\u00a0 Die Carers, Dr Janita, Jorrie en Christina. Dankie ook aan Christina en Jorrie vir julle wat elke dag kom kyk het of alles reg is.\u00a0 Gevra het of ons iets nodig het.Die drukkies en telefoon oproepe. Die koffie en beskuit.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Janita wat twee per dag gevra het of ons nog tevrede is met hul diens en of ons iets nodig het. Ons beveel hulle dienste testerkste aan.<\/p>\n<p>Andre is die 25ste September ontslaan.\u00a0 Terug huis toe.\u00a0 Maar daardie nag niks geslaap.\u00a0 Sy rug was so seer.\u00a0 Ons het musical chairs gespeel tussen sitkamer, TV kamer en slaapkamer.\u00a0 Die volgende dag het Dr Janita my gebel en gevra hoe was ons nag tuis.\u00a0 Ek wou huil toe ek haar vertel van ons rowwe nag.\u00a0 Sy het onmiddelik Andr\u00e9 se dr in Port Elizabeth geskakel . Dr Janita was ook bekommerd oor Andr\u00e9 se geswelde voete en bene.<\/p>\n<p>En daar is ons weer oppad St Georges Toe.\u00a0 Di\u00e9 keer met my motor. Nadine bestuur my motor met Andr\u00e9 voor en ek agter om my oog op Andr\u00e9 te hou. Andr\u00e9 is ontslaan en weer opgeneem 25 September en ontslaan 11 Oktober.<\/p>\n<p>En so gaan ons verhaal aan en aan en aan.\u00a0 Andr\u00e9 is intussen weer\u00a0 opgeneem ICU St Georges 19 Oktober en ontslaan 28\/Oktober 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Ek wil net dankie s\u00ea aan Dr Janita en personeel van van Somerset East Care &amp; Cure Unit.\u00a0 Julle is tops.\u00a0 Ons is bevoorreg om sulke diens in Somerset Oos te kan h\u00ea.\u00a0 En boonop is julle geregistreer by mediese fondse.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Die Care &amp; Cure unit verskaf etes aan die pasient.\u00a0 Julle was ook bereid om vir my koffie en tee te verskaf.\u00a0 Dankie dat ek die hele dag langs my man se bed kon wees.\u00a0 Ek het gesien hoe hy verpleeg is en hoe die personeel sy Privaatheid gerespekteer het.<\/p>\n<p>Die verpleegpersoneel het op kort kennisgewing kom werk.\u00a0 Julle hande het vir niks terug gestaan nie.\u00a0 Julle is geroep deur die Hemelse Vader in julle beroeping.<\/p>\n<p>Ons as gesin sal beslis Dr Janita se eenheid aanbeveel.\u00a0 Al het jy nie medies nie, elke sent is die moeite werd.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_testimonial][et_pb_testimonial author=&#8221;Carmen Van Greunen and Family&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.24.2&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Dear Dr. Saayman And Staff at Somerset Care Cure Unit at Huis Silver Jare. Being honest and letting us know what exactly was coming and then putting her and her loved ones at ease for the last part of her journey here on earth! We started off as strangers, but ended up much more.<br \/>You spent so much time to do extra and special things to make her life more bearable. After surgery, I spent just short of three weeks in the unit, and the care, dedication, and support I received from the caregivers was excellent. Day or night, nothing was ever too much for anyone, and they went out of their way to make everything as comfortable as possible for me.<\/p>\n<p>A big thank you also to Dr. Saayman, who regularly dropped by to check if everything was in order and if I was satisfied. Nothing is ever too much for her, and one cannot miss her passion for her \u201cbrainchild.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Also to Sr. Christina Olivier, a huge thank you for the wound care every day, including weekends, the extra check-ins, and for handling moments when my emotions threatened to overwhelm me, with such empathy and compassion. Her passion for her work and patients, her positivity, and her friendliness are an asset to the unit and will always stay with me\u2014also the extra mile she went with a Mother\u2019s Day surprise so that my family could spend the day with me.<\/p>\n<p>I will recommend Somerset East Care &amp; Cure Unit to anyone who needs additional medical care. You won\u2019t regret it. I will definitely make use of them again in the future, if needed.<\/p>\n<p>I wish Dr. Saayman and her dedicated team only the best for the future.
